Meet Our Team

Selina Moreno, CEO & Founder

Born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Selina Moreno founded Caminos de la Vida from a belief that young people deserve to be heard, respected, and supported without being defined by their circumstances. As a first-generation college graduate with a background in criminal justice and victim advocacy, Selina brings both professional and lived experience to her work. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at New Mexico State University. Her approach is grounded in listening, cultural respect, and relationships built on trust. Selina believes that difficult circumstances can influence a young person’s choices, relationships, and that mistakes should be met with grace, accountability, and an opportunity to grow.

Karina Gayosso, Community Ambassador

Karina Gayosso, DNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who has served patients and families throughout southern New Mexico. She brings a background in family medicine and healthcare, along with experience working in communities across Las Cruces and Alamogordo.

As a Community Ambassador for Caminos de la Vida, Karina brings her commitment to community connection and supporting the well-being of youth and families. She understands the importance of meeting people where they are, building trust, and recognizing the strengths that exist within individuals, families, and communities.

Karina will help Caminos build meaningful community connections, increase awareness of available resources, and create opportunities for young people to feel seen, heard, and supported.

We are grateful to have Karina walking alongside Caminos de la Vida and the young people we serve.
